Goal 1: Cybersecurity
Protect University assets and community by engaging in proactive data protection and cybersecurity practices.

Objectives:

  1. Routinely review, update, and test the disaster recovery plan.
  2. Routinely review, update, and test the incident response plan.
  3. Provide campus with increased and ongoing cybersecurity information, resources, and education.

Goal 2: Enterprise Infrastructure
Implement and manage core, foundational IT infrastructure and services that support and advance evolving University needs.

Objectives:

  1. Replace or upgrade Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software (i.e., Banner).
  2. Develop comprehensive cloud strategy/plan for enterprise resources and data.
  3. Identify and implement information portal for website.
  4. Develop a team to determine responsibilities for implementation and ongoing maintenance and management of the portal.

Goal 3: Operational Efficiency
Provide technologies and services that enhance operational functionality and promote efficiencies across the enterprise.

Objectives:

  1. Implement new ticketing and asset management system.
  2. Develop and implement an ongoing technology knowledge base.
  3. Review, clarify, and, if necessary, update the role and structure of the Technology Advisory Council (TAC).
  4. Assess the evolving capacity of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to improve operational and institutional functionality.

Goals 4: Staff Development
Hire, retain, and advance highly skilled, knowledgeable, and engaged IS&T personnel.

Objectives:

  1. Provide and fund ongoing professional development opportunities.
  2. Provide pathways for position advancement.
  3. Enhance facilities to accommodate and support IS&T staffing needs.

Goal 5: Teaching & Learning Technologies
Provide technologies and services that promote and support successful undergraduate and graduate educational experiences.

Objectives:

  1. Implement and manage appropriate technologies that enhance onsite, hybrid, and online teaching and learning environments.
  2. Support the Malone Center through the implementation of technology tools and services to expand or improve the capabilities of the Learning Management System (LMS).

Goal 6: Data Management
Work in partnership with data stakeholders across campus to establish and maintain procedures for appropriate and secure data storage and access.

Objectives:

  1. Take leadership role in reestablishing and providing a renewed charge to institution-wide Data Governance Committee.
  2. Assist the Data Governance Committee in the development and implementation of general and unit-specific data governance and information privacy policies and procedures.

Goal 7: User Experience
Deliver reliable, responsive, and innovative services and experiences to all end users.

Objectives:

  1. Develop and more proactively deliver informational resources to students, staff, and faculty to increase familiarity and utilization of available technology resources.
  2. Work with Human Resources (staff and faculty) and Student Affairs (new and transferring students) to promote awareness of good cybersecurity practices during onboard or orientation processes.
  3. Annually assess and respond to student, staff, and faculty perceptions of IS&T services.
