Family and Consumer Sciences Majors Scholarships

Scholarship Criteria Application
A D Walden FCS Scholarship Renewable. Available to Family and Consumer Sciences majors from Houston, Dale or Henry counties only. Financial need considered.
Dr. Barbara Fite Scholarship in FCS Education Available to junior Family and Consumer Sciences Education majors only. Renewable.
Comer Foundation Scholarship in Family and Consumer Sciences Renewable for four years. Available only to incoming in-state freshmen with financial need.  
Dorothy Tarpley Holmes Scholarship in Family and Consumer Sciences Available to Family and Consumer Sciences majors from Etowah County only.
Johnnie Carlisle Endowed Scholarship in Family and Consumer Sciences Available to rising sophomore, junior or senior with financial need. Preference will be given to dietetics students.
Josephine Cook Bruister Scholarship in Family and Consumer Sciences Available to rising sophomore, junior or senior with financial need.
Lois Ackerley Memorial Scholarship in Family and Consumer Sciences  
Mary Larkin Scholarship in FCS Education Available to Family and Consumer Sciences education seniors pursuing student teaching during the year of the award.
Myrtice Hicks McDaniel/The Birmingham News Scholarship Available to Retail Merchandising majors pursuing internship during year of the award.
Robbie Lee Linch Farrow Memorial Scholarship Available to currently enrolled rising junior or senior with financial need. Not renewable.
Ruth Stovall Scholarship in Family and Consumer Sciences Education Available to Family and Consumer Sciences Education majors only.
Sara Nell Lightsey Sharbutt and Virginia Stallworth Sharbutt Scholarship in Family and Consumer Sciences Available to students from Bibb and Shelby counties only.
Theresa Thomas Whitfield Scholarship in Family and Consumer Sciences Available to currently enrolled students only.
Viola Claybrooke Family and Consumer Science Scholarship Available to post-baccalaureate students in Family and Consumer Sciences; graduate students in Family and Consumer Sciences Ed.; undergraduates in Family and Consumer Sciences. Financial need considered. Renewable.
Virginia Coker White Scholarship Preference for Dietetics majors with financial need.
W. G. and Floy Abbott Child and Family Studies Scholarship Available to freshmen and transfer students in child and family studies. Service and financial need will be considered.
Mary Cornell Scholarship Applicant must be a Family and Consumer Sciences major. Applicant must be a Junior. Applicant must be in the Retail Merchandising Program.
Azile Norris McVay Scholarship Endowment Applicant must be a Family and Consumer Science major.
Eva Russell and Robert Lee Roy Scholarship Applicant must be a Family and Consumer Sciences major.
The Cathorine Elaine Betts Endowed Scholarship Awarded annually to a student with financial need and in good standing with the University. Preference given to a student majoring in the department of Family and Consumer Science.
