Undergraduate Curriculum and Standards Committee

The charge of the Undergraduate Curriculum and Standards Committee is to approve, evaluate, and maintain the undergraduate education program for the University. Specifically, the committee is charged with five goals: 1) develop the course submission and assessment guidelines and procedures pertaining to general education requirements; 2) review and approve applications for courses to be designated as general education courses; 3) review departmental assessments of their general education courses; 4) review and approve applications for new and/or interdisciplinary curricular initiatives including, but not limited to, new majors and minors, study abroad opportunities and team taught courses; and 5) review, initiate and/or approve changes to the undergraduate curriculum and academic policies.
