Join us Saturday, October 25, 2025 for Falcon Family Day!

Family Day is the perfect time to reconnect with your student, explore where your student calls home and meet other families. Each person who registers for Family Day will receive lunch, a welcome bag, tickets for games and prizes, access to athletic events and have the opportunity to take part in scheduled events along with self-guided opportunities to explore campus and the city of Montevallo.

Registration for Falcon Family Day closed at 5 pm CST on October 12, 2025. If you missed the registration deadline, we still encourage you to visit your UM student. There are a variety of free events that are open to all families. Individuals who do not register prior to the deadline will not receive lunch, a welcome bag, or tickets for games and prizes. Most other events and activities are free and do not require registration. More information and the schedule for the day are posted below.

How do I register for Family Day?

Registration for Falcon Family Day closed at 5 pm CST on October 12, 2025.

How much does Family Day cost and what does it include?

The Family Day registration fee is $20 for UM students and family members over the age of 2 and includes:

Access to UM events hosted on campus
A welcome bag
Tickets for games and prizes
Lunch

Children 2 and under do not need to register and will not receive lunch or a welcome bag.

What forms of payment are accepted?

Visa, American Express, MasterCard, and Discover cards are all accepted payment methods for your Family Day registrations through the online system. We are unable to accept registrations or payment by phone.

I missed the Family Day registration deadline. What can I do?

If you miss the registration deadline, we still encourage you to visit your UM student. There are a variety of free campus and community events that are open to all families. Individuals who do not register prior to the deadline will not receive lunch, a welcome bag or tickets for games and prizes. Most other events and activities are free and do not require registration.

I have a child who is 3 years old. Do I need to register them for Family Day?

Yes, there will be a charge for children over 2.

Do I need to register my UM student?

If your student would like to eat lunch, receive a welcome bag and tickets for games and prizes, you will need to complete the online registration form for them as well.

Are refunds available?

No. All Family Day purchases are non-refundable.

When should we plan to arrive?

Families can begin checking in for Family Day in Farmer Hall at 11 am on Saturday, October 25th. A schedule of events for the day will be included in a confirmation email that registered participants will receive prior to Family Day.

Where can I stay if I need to spend the night near campus?

Please note that the list of hotels is only meant to kick-start your search and is not meant as a recommendation or endorsement of services provided. We encourage you to visit each hotel’s website, review guest feedback, and consider your preferences before making a reservation.

What if we have a family member who may need accommodations to participate in Family Day?

All events are held in handicapped-accessible areas and buildings. However, it is important to remember that, as with most college campuses, there can be some distance between buildings and events that also include inclines. If you have questions about accessibility or need to request disability-related accommodations that will facilitate your full participation in this event, please contact the Access and Compliance Office at AAC@montevallo.edu or 1(205) 665-6250 Efforts will be made to accommodate all access requests regardless of timing, but the University cannot guarantee that requests made with less than one week’s notice can be met.
