Institutional Accreditation

The University of Montevallo is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award baccalaureate, masters, educational specialist, and doctoral degrees. The University of Montevallo also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels. The UM Child Study Center is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing program is approved by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
The Chemistry Program is approved and certified by the American Chemical Society.
All Education programs that result in state licensure are approved by the Alabama State Board of Education.
