Scholarships

Freshman academic scholarships are awarded based on the student’s superscored ACT or SAT and high school GPA. The information listed below is in effect beginning with the 2025-2026 academic year.

Freshman Scholarships	Requirements	Award Amount
Freshman Achievement Scholarship	3.0-3.24 GPA (no test score required)	$1,500 per year
Montevallo Academic Leadership Scholarship	3.25-3.74 GPA (no test score required)	$2,500 per year
Academic Recognition Scholarship	24-26 ACT or 1160-1250 SAT and 3.0 GPA OR 3.75+ GPA (without test scores)	$4,500 per year
Freshman Leadership Scholarship	27-29 ACT or 1260-1350 SAT and 3.0 GPA	$6,000 per year
Presidential Honors Scholarship	30-36 ACT or 1360-1600 SAT; 3.0 GPA	$9,000 per year
Montevallo Ambassador Program Scholarship (M.A.P.S.)	30 ACT or 1360 SAT; 3.5 GPA; Additional details below	Room, board, tuition, and fees
Out-of-State Scholarship	3.0 GPA (no test score)	In-state tuition rates

Transfer Scholarships	Requirements	Award Amount
Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship	3.00 GPA/30 transfer credits	$6,000 per year
Transfer Academic Recognition Scholarship	3.25 GPA/30 transfer credits	$3,000 per year
Out-of-State Scholarship	3.25 GPA	In-state tuition rates
