Student Support Services (SSS) at the University of Montevallo

TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) is a federally funded program designed to help eligible students thrive in college. SSS provides academic support, mentoring, and opportunities for leadership and personal growth. The program serves students who are first-generation college students, students from limited-income backgrounds, and students with disabilities, as defined by federal guidelines.

At its core, SSS is committed to creating a supportive environment that encourages academic success, persistence, and graduation. By offering tailored services and fostering a sense of community, SSS helps students overcome barriers to higher education and achieve their educational and professional goals.

Part of the family of TRIO programs—which also includes Upward Bound and Educational Talent Search—SSS has a longstanding history of advancing college access, success, and equity across the United States.
