The University of Montevallo offers a plethora of training opportunities for its faculty and staff. These opportunities can be delivered through in-person workshops as well as web-based and/or slide-based training modules. The goal of these various training opportunities is to provide a safe working environment and to promote excellence in job performance. In some instances, specific trainings are required in order to be compliant with state and federal regulations.
The University maintains a database for completion of training modules and attainment of certifications of its employees. Therefore, upon completion of any training, attainment of certification, etc., please present proof of completion to the University’s Training Coordinator:

For access to employee and student personal records, you will need to log onto Banner Self-Service. The two links below will provide instructions on doing so.
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) affords students certain rights with respect to their education records. The Records Office has created a FERPA link in ForUM where you will find basic FERPA information and a quiz developed from samples in the AACRAO FERPA Guide that will test your FERPA knowledge. All employees who have access to student information must visit the FERPA site and complete the quiz. Everyone will have to be on record as having successfully completed the quiz. Setting Up a Proxy and Approving Timesheets /Leave Report

Leave reports must be completed on the last working day on the month. Electronic approvals are not allowed after 11:59 PM on the 5th day of the month. If this window is missed, contact the Payroll Office immediately. For instructions on completing a leave report please click below.
Timesheets must be completed on the last working day of the pay period. Supervisors must approve the timesheet prior to the biweekly Mondays per the payroll calendar. If this window is missed, contact the Payroll Office immediately.
