This Founders’ Day, the University of Montevallo will celebrate 128 years of making a difference in students’ lives. Our dedicated faculty, staff and alumni strive to fulfill our mission of delivering a one-of-a-kind liberal arts education. This commitment ensures that our graduates are not only well-prepared for their professional careers, but also for success in their personal lives.

Now in its 128th year, UM offers 74 majors and concentration combinations within five different colleges. The University is also home to 23 NCAA Division II athletics teams, including its most recent additions: wrestling and acrobatics & tumbling.
