The University of Montevallo invites prospective high school and transfer students to attend Fall Preview Day on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
This interactive, in-person open house event will show you why “You Belong at Montevallo” through welcoming information sessions and an opportunity to experience life as a UM student.
Representatives from the offices of Admissions, Student Aid, Student Life and Housing will be present to offer information and answer any questions prospective students may have. Additionally, academic interest sessions will be offered for each major, giving prospective students a chance to meet the institution’s professors.
Prospective students will get to walk the bricks on a campus tour and see why the University of Montevallo has been named one of the South’s most beautiful campuses by Southern Living magazine. Montevallo Mavens will guide the tours, revealing all the spots where students hang out, residence halls on campus and more.
To help maintain its status as one of the state’s best quality-for-cost higher education institutions, the University of Montevallo has frozen tuition rates for the past seven years. The University also consistently receives high placement in U.S. News & World Report’s 2025 Best Colleges rankings and was named the safest college campus in central Alabama according to Niche.com’s 2025 Safest College Campuses in Alabama rankings.
