Saturday Campus Tours Returning to University of Montevallo

Whether your schedule is busy during the week or you simply prefer a weekend visit, the University of Montevallo is creating more ways to explore the bricks with the reintroduction of Saturday campus tours.

Saturday tours will return this fall on Sept. 12, Oct. 3 and Dec. 5. Tours will begin at 10 a.m.

“We know prospective students and their families have incredibly busy lives,” said Kacie Slaughter, interim executive director of admissions at UM. “We wanted to provide additional opportunities for students and families to enjoy the exquisite beauty of our campus and learn more about the profound impact unique educational experience has on the lives of our students when it is most convenient for them.”

The Dec. 5 tour will be a special holiday experience with the theme “Holiday Hues and Historic Views.” Celebrate the holiday season with a festive walk through UM’s historic campus. Enjoy the beauty of campus decorated for the holidays, hear the stories that make Montevallo unique and discover why so many students find their place among the bricks. This special holiday tour is the perfect way to experience Montevallo’s charm, traditions and Falcon spirit.

Explore campus with a current student tour guide, learn about academics, the admissions process and campus life and discover what makes Montevallo the right fit for you. UM offers more than 70 undergraduate majors, several graduate programs and a doctorate degree in educational leadership across its five colleges. Student Life also features more than 90 organizations, meaning students are certain to find their place within a thriving campus community.

Please arrive no later than 10 minutes prior to your scheduled start time to allow for parking and check-in. Be sure to wear comfortable clothes and shoes, as most of the tour requires walking.

Daily campus tours are also offered every Monday through Friday at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
