Alex Mechitov, Ph.D.

Dr. Alexander Mechitov is a professor of management at the University of Montevallo. He earned his Ph.D. from the Russian Academy of Sciences. Dr. Mechitov teaches courses in quantitative methods and management, including operations management, outsourcing and supply chain, and international business. His research has been presented and published through professional associations such as MCDM, DSI, and IABE.

Mechitov is a regular presenter at national and international conferences and received several “best paper” awards. He was named the University Scholar at the University of Montevallo in 2003. He has been included three times in Who’s Who Among American Teachers, nominated by his students, he received University of Montevallo Best Graduate Teacher Award in 2017, and in 2018 was named Michael J. and Donna H. Grainger Endowed Chair in Business and Accounting in Stephens College of Business.
