Reverse Transfer Program

We would like to offer the opportunity at no cost to you to participate in the Reverse Transfer initiative. Reverse transfer refers to a situation in which students have transferred to the University of Montevallo from a two-year Alabama community college without earning an associate’s degree. Credits earned from combined enrollment at University of Montevallo and an Alabama community college are transferred back to the two-year community college for evaluation and eligibility for rewarding of an associate degree. Once your community college or institution reviews the transcript, they will notify you if you have earned enough hours to be awarded an associates degree. Students eligible for Alabama Reverse Transfer must have completed at least 25% of credit hours  from a Alabama community college, and have earned at least 3 semester credit hours from the University of Montevallo.

• Opting in, you agree to let the University of Montevallo share your academic records with other previously attended academic institutions for the purpose of credit evaluation to determine your eligibility to receive an associate’s degree.

• Opting out, your FERPA-protected academic records will not be shared with other academic institutions you attended for the purposes of credit evaluation to determine your eligibility to receive an associate’s degree.
