Degree Evaluation (Degree Works and CAPP)

Degree Works

Degree Works is an online degree-auditing and degree-tracking tool that compares your academic achievement to your major requirements and provides the basic information you need so that you and your advisor can focus on your goals and plan how to achieve them. This includes tracking your academic progress toward a degree, reviewing the requirements you have satisfied, and planning the courses you can take to complete your remaining requirements. Students can also use Degree Works to do a “what if” analysis to see how the courses you have taken fit into a different major.

Please refer to the user guides below for more information.

CAPP

CAPP is used for curriculum, advising and program planning. It is an interactive, instantaneous degree audit. CAPP degree evaluation can be used by advisors, certain staff, and currently enrolled students at the University of Montevallo. To learn more, select the appropriate link below.

Important Note: CAPP is only used for students who are on a catalog term prior to Fall 2022. Catalog term can be verified in Banner Self-Service under Student Profile. All other students will be on Degree Works.
