Milad Jasemi, Ph.D.

Dr. Milad Jasemi Zargani is an assistant professor of business analytics at the University of Montevallo. He earned a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology in Iran. Dr. Jasemi Zargani teaches courses in data analytics, machine learning, and financial management. He serves as the Stephens College of Business Department Chair.

Prior to coming to University of Montevallo in fall 2019, he was a Visiting Assistant Professor of MIS at the School of Business and Economics at the State University of New York in Plattsburgh 2018-19; a Postdoctoral Researcher and Adjunct Faculty at the Industrial and Systems Engineering department of Wayne State University, MI 2016-18; and an Assistant Professor at the Industrial and Systems Engineering department at KN Toosi University of Technology, Tehran, Iran 2013-16.

Dr. Jasemi’s primary research interests are in Data Analytics and Operations Management. He is also interested in financial-based studies.
