The Master of Business Administration (MBA) is for those who want to develop their leadership potential through engaging activities, increase problem-solving skills through strategic thinking activities and hone interpersonal skills through networking opportunities.

About Our Program

Our AACSB-accredited courses are taught by distinguished faculty members who serve as full-time mentors, providing instruction in a flexible, asynchronous format. According to a 2020 study, approximately 10% of adults aged 25 and over in Alabama hold a master’s or higher-level degree, which includes those with an MBA. Earning this credential not only sets you apart in a competitive workforce but can also increase your earning potential by an estimated $20,000 annually.

OUR MBA PROGRAM

Our leadership-driven MBA is our flagship program and one of the most innovative and well-recognized MBA programs in the state. We currently offer a hybrid and online modality. It’s for the student eager to launch a career of distinction and the working professional ready to move up, change careers, or maximize earning potential.

Montevallo BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP

Candidates employed by eligible businesses can receive a scholarship of up to $110 per credit hour toward tuition for all program coursework.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

  • Online application at montevallo.edu/apply
  • Two professional letters of recommendation
  • Statement of purpose
  • Professional résumé
  • Applicants must meet ONE of the following criteria:
    • Either qualifying GPA from a regionally accredited college/ university
      • Bachelor’s degree: 2.75 OR 3.0 in the last 30 semester hours
      • Master’s degree: GPA of 3.0
    • A minimum of five years of professional business experience OR recognized industry licensing exams/certificates
    • GMAT 600 or better OR GRE 300 or better
