Travel Grants
Travel grants are available to Honors students who have earned their Honors Certificate or will earn the Certificate the semester they are traveling.
Honors Program Student Travel Grants award up to $500 for academic conference participation and travel costs. Monetary support will be reimbursed after the travel is complete and all relevant receipts are processed.

University of Montevallo Scholarships
Many institutional scholarships are available to entering freshmen as well as to students transferring from community colleges. In most cases, you are automatically considered for these scholarships if you are admitted to the University prior to the scholarship application deadline. When admitted to the University of Montevallo, students automatically apply for the following scholarships.
The Presidential Honors Scholarship awards $9,000 per academic year to entering freshmen who earn a composite score of 30 or above on the ACT (or equivalent SAT score). Recipients must also have a minimum cumulative 3.00 secondary school grade point average. Priority is given to students who apply by February 1st. After the priority date, scholarships are awarded on a funds available basis.
The Freshman Leadership Scholarship is valued at $6,000 for the academic year and is renewable for up to four years of study. Consideration is given to students earning a composite score of 27 or above on the ACT (or equivalent SAT score) and holding a minimum 3.0 high school grade point average. Priority is given to students who apply by February 1st. After the priority date, scholarships are awarded on a funds available basis.
The Academic Recognition Scholarship is valued at $4,500 for the academic year and is renewable for up to four years of study. Consideration is given to students earning a composite score of 25 or above on the ACT (or equivalent SAT score) and holding a minimum 3.0 high school grade point average. Priority is given to students who apply by February 1st. After the priority date, scholarships are awarded on a funds available basis.
The Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship amount varies for the academic year and is renewable for up to four years of study. Consideration is given to minority students earning a composite score of 23 or above on the ACT (or equivalent SAT score) and holding a minimum 3.0 high school grade point average. Priority is given to students who apply by February 1st. After the priority date, scholarships are awarded on a funds available basis.
The Montevallo Academic Leadership Scholarship is valued at $2,500 for the academic year and is renewable for up to four years of study. Consideration is given to students either named as Valedictorian or Salutatorian of their graduating class or having earned a cumulative 4.0 high school grade point average. Priority is given to students who apply by February 1st. After the priority date, scholarships are awarded on a funds available basis.
