UM Art Department goes to New York City!

Dates: May 4-9, 2026

Total cost: $900 (covers airfare and lodging)

*may be more or less depending on the plane ticket cost

  • $450 non-refundable deposit due by Jan. 19th
  • Payments can be made in the Art Office using card or check (no cash)
  • 2nd payment due by March 16th
  • Price includes double-occupancy room, and plane ticket
  • Free afternoons are good for visiting any of the 21 other Smithsonian Museums not on this list (National Air and Space Museum, National Portrait Gallery, National Museum of American History, National Zoo, Smithsonian Gardens, Women’s History Museum, and more!)

OTHER

The university will reserve your airline and lodging for approximately $900. Flight prices flucuate, but we anticipate the cost not exceeding $450. Students will bring at least $300 for other expenses. $250 for food ($50 per day), $33 for subway pass, and misc. cost. Sign up in the art office to recieve email updates. A$450 nonrefundable deposit is required by Jan. 19 (MLK Day). The office does not accept cash. Payment must be made by credit card or check.

Brooklyn Bridge, High Line, Little Island, Late Show, Time Square, Central Park, The Vessel, 911 Memorial, Grand Central, Wall
Street, Williamsburg, Central Park, Rockefeller Center, Chinatown, Little Italy, Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, The Oculus, Morgan Library,
Madison Square Park, Staten Island Ferry, Coney Island, Empire State Building and all the things in between!
