Final Exams Spring 2026

Spring: The final exam schedule is based on regularly scheduled class meeting times. All course syllabi must include the scheduled date and time for final exams.

  • Hybrid courses’ final exam times will correlate with the class’s on-campus meetings.
  • Distance education option (synchronous) courses’ final exam times will correlate to schedule class times.
  • Fully online (synchronous) courses’ final exam times will correlate to schedule class times.
  • Fully online (asynchronous) classes consult the course syllabus or instructor.
  • Classes schedule at any time other than shown below – consult the course syllabus or instructor.

Petitioning to Reschedule a Final Exam

  • Students may petition to their major College Dean to reschedule exams if the following circumstances occur:
    • A student has three or more exams scheduled on the same
    • A student has two exams scheduled at the same day.
  • Students wishing to reschedule one or more final exams due to one of the reasons above must submit to their major College Dean documentation of their schedule.
  • The petition must be approved no later than the last regular day of The rescheduled exam must be administered during one of the provisional exam times as listed in the schedule below.
  • Exams for on campus courses have higher priority than online exams regardless of level.
  • For all instances not covered above, the student’s major College Dean will consult with professors/instructors and decide which final should be rescheduled.

Final Grade Submission deadlines:

Grades for graduation candidates must be submitted via Banner Self-Service no later than 3 p.m., Wednesday, April 29. Graduation candidates must be allowed to reschedule their final exams prior to this deadline.

Grades for all other students must be submitted via Banner Self-Service no later than 10 a.m., Monday, May 4.

Falcon Success Center

The Falcon Success Center (FSC) offers the following free services to UM students:

  • Assistance with connections to campus resources
  • Student success coaching
  • Academic success planning
  • Accountability Groups
  • Assessment of academic needs
  • Tutoring (appointment-based, online and drop-in)

April 6 – Fall 2026 registration begins for currently enrolled and returning graduate students

April 8 – Fall 2026 registration begins for currently enrolled and returning undergraduate seniors

April 10 – Fall 2026 registration begins for currently enrolled and returning undergraduate juniors

April 14 – Fall 2026 registration begins for currently enrolled and returning undergraduate sophomores

April 16 – Fall 2026 registration begins for currently enrolled and returning undergraduate freshmen

April 23-24 – Classes meet as scheduled; no exams or quizzes (with exception of makeup exams) may be administered and no other graded assignments may be due.

April 27-May 1 – Final exams for spring courses

May 2 – Spring Commencement at 9 a.m.

May 4 – Classes begin for Full Summer and May term courses

May 22 – Final exams for May term courses

May 25 – Memorial Day (University closed)

June 1 – Classes begin for Combined and Summer I term courses

June 19 – Juneteenth (University closed)

June 26 – Final exams for Summer I term courses

July 4 – Independence Day (University closed)

July 6 – Classes begin for Summer II term courses

July 31 – Final exams for Full Summer, Combined, and Summer II term courses/Summer degree conferral date
