Young Alumni Recognition Program

“15 Within 15” — Montevallo Alumni Achieving Greatness within 15 Years of Graduation — celebrates exceptional University of Montevallo alumni who have reached significant professional milestones within 15 years of graduation. This program honors driven bachelor’s and master’s graduates who embody the leadership and passion fostered by Alabama’s only public liberal arts university. If you know a rising star who has truly distinguished themselves since leaving the bricks, we want to hear from you!

Please note: Nominations for this award are held for 2 years. However, we recommend that you re-nominate with updates and further information for the committee to consider for “15 Within 15.” This will also ensure accurate, up-to-date nominee information.

ELIGIBILITY

Your nominee must have an undergraduate or graduate degree from UM and have graduated within the last 15 years to be eligible for this recognition. If your nominee graduated at any point in the year 2011 or after, they are eligible for the award.

Applicants should have demonstrated strong accomplishments in their career. Individuals who are driven to make changes and who have the ability and expertise to see the changes through to fruition.

Current elected UM National Alumni Association officers and directors (including Junior Board) are not eligible for nomination.

SELECTION

The selection of the 15 Within 15 honorees is made by the Nominations/Awards Committee of the UMNAA Junior Board, two UM staff members and a member of the Awards & Recognition Committee of the UMNAA Board.

Please Note: There is no fee to apply for this award. Multiple nominations for the same person do not increase the likelihood of receiving the award. We rely on the quality of information provided.

The 15 Within 15 nomination period is Feb. 1 – June 1. Selected individuals will be announced in the summer and honored at Founders’ Day.
