Fall 2025 Commencement

Graduates, the University of Montevallo National Alumni Association will sponsor a Graduate Dinner on Dec. 10 at 5:30 p.m. in Anna Irvin Dining Hall. This is your chance to celebrate your accomplishments, connect with those who have come before you and step confidently into your next chapter. Learn about the exciting opportunities and resources available to you as a new member of our alumni association. The Graduate Dinner will include alumni goodies to celebrate your achievement. The University of Montevallo will hold the Fall Commencement ceremony in Central State Bank Arena at Robert M. McChesney Student Activity Center (SAC) on Friday, Dec. 12 at 5 p.m. We are proud to present the graduates of the Class of 2025, celebrate their accomplishments as students and officially induct them into our national alumni association.

Rehearsal for the ceremony will take place in Central State Bank Arena at the SAC at 1 p.m. — rehearsal is not mandatory, but we encourage you to make every effort to attend as important information about your transcript and the ceremony will be provided. Rehearsal should last no longer than 45 minutes.

There are no tickets for the ceremony; however, we ask that you are reasonable when inviting guests so that every graduate may have adequate seating for their guests. In this instance, we consider a reasonable number to be between 10-15 guests each.

Should you have guests with mobility limitations, they may be dropped off at the front of the building. Also, accessible parking is available in the lot in front of the building to those with accessible parking tags. Inside the arena, the front rows of the bleachers are designated for guests accompanying those in wheelchairs or with walkers.

Graduates should report to the front of the SAC no later than 4:30 p.m. wearing their cap and gown. We will line up on the sidewalk by college (i.e., Richard & Sandra Cummings College of Arts & Sciences, Michael E. Stephens College of Business, the College of Education & Human Development and the College of Fine Arts) unless the weather does not cooperate. In that case, we will line up inside the concourse along the right-hand wall.

The ceremony should last about an hour and fifteen minutes. On behalf of the Commencement Committee, CONGRATULATIONS and we look forward to seeing you back on the bricks as alumni!
