“University of Montevallo Art Department Faculty Show ”
Exhibiting artists include Scott Meyer, Misty Bennett, Joe Bennett, Collin Williams, Min Sun Lee, Michael Willett, Lee Somers, Ryan Foster, Tanner Young, Htet San, Amy Feger, Joel Bullock, as well as Professor Emeriti Ted Metz, Scott Stephens and Karen Graffeo. The exhibition will be installed in both Poole and Bloch Galleries simultaneously.

“A Labor of Love”
Vincent Frimpong

Vincent Frimpong is a ceramic artist born in Accra, Ghana. He holds an M.F.A. from The University of Arkansas and is an Assistant Professor of Art at Talladega College, AL and the 2025 NCECA Emerging Artist Fellow. Vincent embraces mixed media processes to express and explore ideas, memories and experiences regarding the richness of African history, Ghanaian culture and pressing contemporary concerns addressing where we come from, where we are, and where we are going. Annual Art Auction

Poole Party Saturday, Feb. 14, 4 to 5:30 pm

The University of Montevallo Art Department hosts an annual Art Auction fundraiser each year. The group show will culminate with a silent auction that coincides with Homecoming. All work exhibited in the show is available to the highest bidder and acts as a fundraiser to support departmental programming and projects.

“A Breath of Fresh Air”
Htet San

Htet San is the Art Department’s newest faculty member. She has an M.A. from Falmouth University, U.K. and was hired in 2024 to teach in the Photography concentration. Her work utilizes installation, video projection and sculptural mediums with traditional darkroom and digital imaging techniques to explore identity, existence, memory, nostalgia, and societal problems. Tatiana Potts

Tatiana Potts is a printmaker and bookmaker from Slovakia who incorporates images and paper installations into phenomenological spaces, composite memories, and grammatical structures that are drawn from her wide travel experiences. The work combines culture, language, physical geography and architecture that reflects her experiences and perspectives while living, traveling and studying in Europe and the United States.
