Community School of Music

Come study music at the University of Montevallo’s Community School of Music!

We offer private lessons on the following instruments and voice: piano, organ, guitar (classical and pick-style), voice, violin, viola, trumpet, flute, trombone, clarinet, oboe, French horn, mandolin, ukulele, and drum kit.

  Whether you’re a beginner or advanced student, we provide exceptional music training at affordable rates. Lessons are taught by University faculty, staff, and other highly qualified instructors.
• Professional Instructors
  All of our teachers are professional musicians who actively perform and teach. Most hold advanced music degrees and bring years of experience in both performance and education.
• Recitals & Performance Opportunities
  Each Fall and Spring, students are invited to perform in a formal recital. These events help build confidence and stage presence in a safe, supportive environment. Family and friends are encouraged to attend — admission is free.
• Affordable Pricing
  Our rates are designed to be accessible. Discounts are available for families with multiple students.
