University of Montevallo holds golf tournament

MONTEVALLO— The University of Montevallo kinesiology program will host a golf tournament Friday, Oct. 12, at the Montevallo Golf Course in Montevallo. Lunch will begin at 11 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. Lunch/concessions will be available for purchase by spectators. All proceeds from the event will be used to renovate and refurbish a classroom in memory of Miriam Collins, a former professor of physical education at UM.

The tournament format will be a three-person scramble with cash or certificate awards for the top three teams. The entry fee is $60 per person and includes cart, green fees, lunch ticket and prizes.
