University of Montevallo's 117th annual Founders' Day ceremony celebrates seniors

As Neil Montgomery, a resident of Lawley in Bibb County, anticipates earning an accounting degree from the University of Montevallo in May, he can’t help but think about his graduation from high school in 1977.

Today’s 117th annual celebration of the university’s roots is a family affair for Montgomery, standing next to his 21-year-old daughter, Morgan, a Leeds resident who is graduating in August from the institution with a degree in kinesiology.
