UM Theatre will present The Thugs, a recent off-Broadway play by NYC-based playwright Adam Bock. The production will open Thursday, Oct. 10, with a 2 p.m. matinee. Additional performances will take place Friday, Oct. 11, and Saturday, Oct. 12, at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, Oct. 13, at 2 p.m. All performances will take place in the Chichester Black Box Theatre on the University of Montevallo campus.
This Obie-Award-winning dark comedy is about work, thunder, and the mysterious things that are happening on the 9th floor of a big law firm. When a group of temps tries to discover the secrets that lurk in the hidden crevices of their workplace, they realize they would rather believe in gossip and rumors than face dangerous realities.

Directed by UM Associate Professor Marcus Lane and stage managed by UM student Shelby Mays, this production contains adult language. Limited seating is available.
