UM Theatre will present Cabaret for the first time in more than a decade Thursday, Nov. 13 through Sunday, Nov. 16, in Reynolds Studio Theatre. Performances will be nightly at 7:30 p.m., with a 2 p.m. matineé performance on Sunday.
Ticket reservations will be accepted beginning Thursday, Nov. 6. Performances at this venue sell out quickly, so to ensure a seat, patrons are encouraged to contact the box office at 205-665-6200 to make reservations. Reserved tickets can be paid for and picked up at the door. Ticket prices are $12 with UM ID and $15 for the general public. Unreserved tickets, if available, can be purchased at the door.
In Cabaret, American writer Cliff Bradshaw arrives in Berlin while the Nazi party is rising to power, where he meets the captivating Sally Bowles amidst the decadent world of the Kit Kat Klub, presided over by a mysterious master of ceremonies.
Cabaret is directed by David Callaghan, with musical direction by Michael King and choreography by UM alumnus Carl Dean.
Cast members include Jalen Brown, Shelley McMoy, Hunter Brown, Michael Cleary, James Powers, Melissa Lawler, Claire Quirk, Michael Loman, Jared Wright and Hannah Mansfield.
The ensemble includes Bailey Higgins, Alex Belli, Blake Lovelace, Hunter Rhoades, Brandon Bishop, Giselle Casadaban, Hannah Sizemore and Emily Gabhart.
Kit Kat Klub Girls are Katie Raulerson, Natalie Bonifay, Hannah Stephens, Kendra Johnson, Bailey Gaskin and Kedrick Faulk.
The Kit Kat Klub band is composed of Deanna Medina, CC Wickersham, Michael Williams, Zoyla Pinacho and Alyssa Green.
