Commencement Rehearsal

Flowerhill Lawn
The University of Montevallo National Alumni Association will host a continental breakfast on King Quad on May 7, 2016 beginning at 8:00 a.m. All graduates and guests are welcome to attend.
Parking:
(Map to be sent separately)
Guest parking will be available throughout campus and a shuttle service will be available to take guests from parking areas to the ceremony location.
If you have family members or guests with disabilities (or that may have difficulty walking longer distances), we suggest you arrive prior to 8:30 a.m. The driveway of the Flowerhill residence will remain open until that time–guests may be dropped off easily in this area which is adjacent to guest seating. There is a limited amount of handicapped accessible parking at the base of Flowerhill Lawn.
Once the ceremony concludes, the shuttle service will resume.
Seating:
Family members and guests will be able to choose from four sections of seating. For our older guests who may not be heat tolerant, there is a section of seating to the far right of the stage that remains shaded longer than the other sections.
Seating for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing will be located in the front two rows of seating to the right of where the graduates will be seated. Family members or friends of DHH guests are also welcome to sit in that area.
Areas that are reserved for graduates, faculty, and special guests will be marked with ribbon or signage—all other seating is available to family and guests.
Restrooms will be located on the lawn to the left of the driveway.
There will be medical personnel on hand in case of an emergency.
Photographs:
A photo of each graduate will be made during the presentation of diplomas. The photographs may be ordered from Studio of King’s, 205.665.4795, or cking471@hotmail.com.
Inclement Weather:
The University will make every effort to determine as far in advance if inclement weather will affect the ceremony. A change in venue to the Robert M. McChesney Student Activity Center will be announced via email and social media.
Should the weather force a change in location, tickets will be distributed to graduates at rehearsal. Each graduate should be able to receive between seven and ten tickets each (this number is based on the amount of students graduating and is subject to change).
