“Possibilities of Prison Reform" set for Feb. 26

“Possibilities of Prison Reform,” a public forum on Alabama’s 2015 prison reform, will take place Thursday, Feb. 26. from 6-8 p.m. in the Merchants and Planters Bank Auditorium, Humanities Hall.

Sponsored by the Department of Behavioral and Social sciences and the UM Social Work Club, the event will feature forum panelists Senator Cam Ward, Alabama Prison Reform Task Force; Shay Farley, Alabama Prison Reform Task Force and Alabama Appleseed; Shay Golden, Criminal Defense Attorney; K.A. Turner, Alabama Media Group; Charlotte Morrison, Equal Justice Initiative; and Stephen Wallace, Circuit Court Judge, Jefferson County. Light refreshments will follow the forum.
