Huntsville student selected as editor of The Alabamian

Gordon Kennedy, a University of Montevallo student from Huntsville, was recently selected as the campus newspaper’s editor-in-chief.

Kennedy is a psychology major at the University and an upcoming junior.

“I am honored to be allowed such an opportunity,” said Kennedy. “This presents so much more than just a job, but a chance to learn as well as benefit the entire campus. I realize that I have much to learn, but I’m looking forward to it.”

The Alabamian, UM’s student newspaper since 1924, writes campus news, features and entertainment news. It also provides a forum for the views of members of the University community. The newspaper gives aspiring journalists, copy editors, photographers and page designers a publication for developing skills—and friendships that last a lifetime.
