Conduct Educator (Conduct Officer) Hearing
Hearings may be delayed during time periods in which the University is closed. The Conduct Educator (Conduct Officer) hearing is an informal, non-adversarial meeting between a student and their Conduct Educator (Conduct Officer) or their designee. The purpose of the Conduct Educator (Conduct Officer) hearing is to listen to the students, discuss circumstances regarding the incident, hear student concerns, and determine if a policy violation occurred. Cases will be investigated and may be determined in absentia based on information gathered and/or submitted when a student(s) and/or organization(s) fail to attend their hearing.
The Conduct Educator (Conduct Officer) has the discretion to refer a case to the Justice or Administrative Councils. This may occur when the Conduct Educator (Conduct Officer) is unable to determine an outcome of the case or if the outcome would be best determined by a council.
