Motorcycle Safety Program

*Due to the ongoing threat of the coronavirus pandemic, and out of concern for the safety of our campus community and students, the University of Montevallo and the Alabama Traffic Safety Center are cancelling all Motorcycle and Safe Driver Classes until September.  Please continue to check our web page for future information and instructions.*

The Alabama Motorcycle Safety Program is nationally recognized by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation.  The goal of the Alabama  Motorcycle Safety Program is to provide quality motorcycle rider training.

The Alabama Motorcycle Safety Program provides Motorcycle Safety Foundation training courses at sites throughout Alabama. The program offers beginner rider training through the BRC: Basic Rider Course, BBBRC: Basic Bike Bonding Rider Course and experienced riders can opt for the BRC2: Basic Rider Course 2, the ARC: Advanced Rider Course or the UBBRC: Ultimate Bike Bonding Rider Course.

BRC Discounts: Military Members and First-Responder personnel can take the Basic Rider Course for $125. NOTE: Proof of service and/or employment is REQUIRED (ID card, DD214, Badge number) at course start time. Failure to provide proof of service and/or employment at course start time will prevent issuance of course completion documents until the receipt of documents or full payment

On-Line Registration Information

Enrollment is limited and courses usually fill up quickly, so register early. Courses with insufficient enrollment (LESS THAN 5 STUDENTS) will be cancelled prior to the scheduled course start date.

To register, complete the on-line registration and submit your credit card payment, OR call the Alabama Traffic Safety Center to obtain a registration form and mail it with your check payable to the Alabama Traffic SafetyCenter.  If you are registering “on-line” you will receive an e-mail confirmation (within 36 business hours) of your class date assignment and driving direction to the training site.  If you mail your registration and check to us,  we will confirm your class date assignment upon receipt of payment.
