Young Alumni Recognition Program
“15 Within 15” — Montevallo Alumni Achieving Greatness within 15 Years of Graduation — recognizes driven UM graduates (bachelor’s or master’s) who have demonstrated a knack for leadership and passion within the first 15 years after earning their degree.
This list will honor the crème de la crème; those who have shown what it truly means to have a degree from Alabama’s only public liberal arts university. These rising stars will have shown that they have what it takes to rise above the rest. Do you know someone who has what it takes? Fill out the form and we’ll take it from there.
Please note: If an alum was nominated last year, they will need to be re-nominated again this year to be considered for “15 Within 15.” Nominations for this award are not held over from year to year, to ensure accurate and updated nominee information.
ELIGIBILITY
Your nominee must have an undergraduate or graduate degree from UM and have graduated within the last 15 years to be eligible for the “15 Within 15” recognition. If your nominee graduated at any point in the year 2008 or after, they are eligible for the award.
Applicants should have demonstrated accomplishments in their career, and in areas such as community and civic involvement, mentoring, volunteering, and so on.
This award is for individuals who help others. Individuals who are driven to making changes and who have the ability and expertise to see the changes through to fruition.
Current elected UM National Alumni Association officers and directors (including Junior Board) are not eligible for nomination.
SELECTION
The selection of the “15 Within 15” honorees is made by the Nominations/Awards Committee of the UMNAA Junior Board, a UM staff member and a member of the Awards & Recognition Committee of the UMNAA Board.
Please Note: There is no fee to apply for this award. Multiple nominations for the same person do not increase the likelihood of receiving the award.
The “15 Within 15” nomination period is Feb. 1 – June 1. Selected individuals will be announced in the summer and honored at Founders’ Day.
