Instructional design services are available to all faculty using Canvas. The process is detailed and requires a great deal of input by the instructor (Subject Matter Expert, or SME) and the designer. Typically the process takes about 14 weeks to move a traditional class to the online or hybrid environment fully. The designer meets with the SME to determine how best to deliver content based upon a conversation and review of course materials. Once the determination is made, then the work begins with the SME providing content and the designer creating course modules. There are many steps to the process with revisions and approvals along the way.
