What is the application process?

  1. Students who wish to be admitted to the Honors Program must first apply for regular admission to the University of Montevallo.

This application includes an essay, requires a résumé, and asks for a student’s GPA.  A committee comprised of seven faculty members, representing the College of Arts and Science, the College of Business, the College of Fine Arts, and the College of Education and Human Development, reviews the applicants. While there are no set requirements, the committee typically prefers a high GPA and heavily focuses on the essay.  Additionally, the committee evaluates the student as whole, reviewing a student’s involvement in extracurricular and community activities.
