The University of Montevallo Summer Certification Program offers courses in the Kodály approach to music education. This summer, Levels 1 and 2 will be hosted by Saint Luke’s Episcopal Church in Mountain Brook, AL, July 9 – 20, 2018. Although the Kodály concept is often found in primary schools, its principles apply to all age groups. Music educators in secondary schools utilize this approach for sight-reading, intervallic training, and harmonization, to name only a few direct applications.
