• The Community School of Music hosts a free-of-charge weekly music class in the Fall and Spring semesters for children in the community and surrounding areas.
• The forty-five-minute Musicianship class is open to children ages 5 to 11 years old.
• In this class, children work with a Community School of Music instructor and University of Montevallo Music Education Majors to discover their musical potential!
• We will conclude each semester with a special performance during class time. We encourage students to attend as many classes as possible so you and your student will thoroughly enjoy the performance!
• What will students do in the Musicianship class?

- Students will play interactive music games that help develop music reading and rhythm skills
- Learn about famous composers
- Listen and learn about music from around the world
- Create their own compositions to share with family and friends

• Classes are typically held on Monday evenings at 6:00pm in either the Band room or Choir room in the Davis Building. Dates and times are subject to change each semester.
