Dr. Jennifer Towne has spent several years studying the art of communication. She has her bachelor’s in Public Communication from the University of North Alabama and her Master’s in Communication Studies from the University of South Alabama.
After years of study, she recognized the art of communication paired well with proper systems for maximum desired outcomes. She went on to get her doctorate in Instructional Design and Development. Her dissertation explored the empathetic communication of pre-service teachers. There, she found her sweet spot: instructional communication.
Dr. Towne’s theories on communication and instructional design have not remained in the realm of academia. She has actively applied them in both academic and corporate settings, exploring adult learning theories in training and development to facilitate learning and improve performance.
She has taught Fundamentals of Speech and Effective Speaking for the past three years. She currently serves as the Head of Coaching, Training, and Development for Cadence Bank.
When she’s not writing witty copy, or beaching until sunset, she’s having dance parties with her daughter.
