Misty Bennett is an Professor of Art and director of painting concentration at the University of Montevallo. She received the Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Georgia in Drawing and Painting in 2002 and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Painting from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 1996.
Her work has been shown widely across the Southeast, at museums, galleries, and non-profit spaces in both solo and group exhibitions. Her recent accomplishments include publication in New American Paintings Magazine, Southeastern Edition 2010, invitational exhibition at her alma mater, Savannah College of Art and Design in 2011, and an artist residency at the Hambidge Center in Rabun Gap, Georgia.
