The Community Counseling Clinic is a program of The University of Montevallo’s Graduate Counseling Department. The clinic provides free mental health care to those in the surrounding communities who cannot afford it. It also acts as a training ground where counseling students, under the supervision of counseling faculty, gain valuable experience working with clients. The services provided cover counseling for depression, anxiety, grief, anger, marital, recovery, extreme behaviors and other psychosocial concerns that impact individuals, couples, and families.
These services are available to children beginning at age 5 up to senior citizens and are currently available every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm during the fall and spring semesters only. Services are not available during the summer. The clinic is currently held in the Wallace Building on the University of Montevallo Campus. To make an appointment, call (205) 665-6377 or (205) 665-6379 and leave a message. Someone will return your call to access your needs and make an appointment.
