Brendan Beal (social work)

Dr. Brendan Beal is assistant professor of Social Work in the Department of Behavioral and Social Sciences at the University of Montevallo.  He holds a B.S. in Marketing and an M.S.W. in Clinical Social Work from Florida State University, and a Ph.D. in Social Work from the University of Georgia.  He joined UM in 2016.

Dr. Beal teaches Research in Social Welfare, Human Behavior and the Social Environment, and Social Work Practice with Groups.  His research interests include the use of Virtual Reality (VR) in the pedagogy of Social Work.
