September 2, 2020: A Message Regarding the Labor Day Weekend

Dear students,

As the Labor Day holiday weekend approaches, we want to remind you about the importance of being diligent in following important health protocols, such as wearing a mask and social distancing in public settings, wherever you are.

The University is scheduled to begin the randomized sentinel COVID-19 testing program Tuesday, Sept. 8. Traveling to high-density areas or choosing to disregard COVID-19 prevention best practices could put you at risk of testing positive if you are chosen for the randomized testing program.

Students who test positive will be required to isolate for 14 days, and will not be allowed to attend in-person classes.

At this point, we have had a successful start to the fall semester while continuing to offer in-person class options. For the continued health and safety of our campus, it is paramount for all of us to safeguard our health no matter where we are.
