The University of Montevallo continues to diligently administer COVID-19 tests to its students, faculty and staff, is expecting everyone on campus to regularly log information in contact tracing programs and is enacting appropriate isolation and quarantine measures for anyone who tests positive or has come into close contact with an individual who tested positive.
During the first several weeks of the fall 2020 semester, the University’s testing, contact tracing and quarantine protocols have been working well, allowing UM to determine any potential COVID-19 problem areas and address them quickly and appropriately.
By following these protocols, the University is working to keep everyone on campus safe by mitigating the spread of the disease while carrying out its mission from the State of Alabama to provide a high-quality education to its students. UM is committed to offering the in-person offerings its students expect throughout the fall semester, to the extent possible under the global COVID-19 pandemic.
