October 30, 2020: Halloween COVID-19 Precautions

As a reminder, please remain vigilant in taking steps to protect your health and the health of those around you whether you are on campus or off campus.

When on UM’s campus, please observe the University’s social distancing and mask guidelines and obey all signage posted in residence halls and academic buildings.

Be sure to continue wearing a mask and practicing social distancing when off campus as well, particularly during holidays such as Halloween. Many universities across the nation are facing significant numbers of positive COVID-19 cases and quarantine rates as a result of off-campus gatherings and students and employees not adhering to proper health guidelines.

The UM family has done an outstanding job so far this semester with following COVID-19 protocols, allowing the University to continue to safely offer in-person classes this fall. As a reminder, Montevallo will move to an all-online format for the remainder of the semester after Thanksgiving.

We all share in the effort to successfully complete this semester, and we all must continue to do our part. For more examples of how you can do your part, visit https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SkkkEnR8tSg&t=8s.
