Refresh and One Drive
In this interactive session, you’ll learn about the refresh process, its importance, and the benefits it offers. We’ll also guide you through backing up your files to OneDrive and discuss the advantages of maintaining this practice regularly. Participants will dive into the platform’s key features and learn how to leverage its capabilities. The session will begin with an overview of OneDrive, followed by hands-on demonstrations on how to upload, organize, and manage files effectively. Attendees will explore file sharing and collaboration tools, including essential security practices, such as setting permissions and recovering previous file versions. This is a hands-on workshop, so feel free to bring your laptop.

Our upcoming training session combines comprehensive phishing awareness education with practical guidance on identifying and reporting suspicious emails. Participants will learn how to utilize the new ‘Barracuda Email Protection add-in’ via Microsoft Outlook to effectively report potential phishing threats.
LinkedIn Learning
Your intro to LinkedIn Learning begins here! Join us and discover where to find the UM LinkedIn Learning access link and how to log in from your personal LinkedIn account, how to search/browse the many, many offerings, and understand “pathways to learning” versus individual courses and the benefits of each for employee professional development. Take advantage of both personal and institutional resource libraries.
Dynamic Forms
Are you an admin with Dynamic Form access? This is the perfect opportunity to learn how to develop a form using Dynamic Forms. You will learn about table layouts, date picker, choice lists, check boxes, radio buttons and more! This session will be in a computer lab, you are welcome to bring your own device. We will build a simple form, review the results and analyze the data produced.
Qualtrics
Your solution for surveys is here! This introductory session will teach you the power of Qualtrics. Qualtrics is a versatile tool for conducting surveys, suitable for various purposes such as academic research, data collection, polling, and measuring satisfaction. Bring your laptop to the session for a hands-on experience. This will allow you to follow along and practice creating surveys and exploring the features of Qualtrics.
Before the course, take a moment and login to your account – https://univmontevallo.qualtrics.com/login. Select ‘University of Montevallo Login’, follow the Duo Single Sign-on using your UM credentials. Lastly, click ‘No, I do not have a Qualtrics account.’ Your account will be automatically created. You’re in!
Excel Budget
Are you responsible for managing and tracking a departmental budget? Would you like to improve how you manage your personal finances? Join us for a session where we’ll guide you through creating an Excel workbook budget tracking tool. This tool will automatically summarize expenditures, anticipated expenses, and remaining balances. We’ll also review current UM accounting, purchasing and travel procedures as outlined by the respective departments. This is a hands-on session; you are welcome to bring your laptop.
One Drive/Box
Storing documents and files can be cumbersome. Join this Tech Tuesday session to understand how Box and One Drive work, learn what information can be stored using Box and One Drive and how to access your files throughout MS 365.

UM Social Media Guidelines
Do you manage a UM-affiliated social media account? Do you plan to open a UM-affiliated social media account? This session is for you! You will receive training and guidelines for managing and hosting a professional and insightful UM-affiliated social media account. If you were unable to attend the April 9th Tech Tuesday about Social Media guidelines, attached is the presentation. This is valuable information for anyone managing a UM Affiliated social media account.

Microsoft 365 overview
(Reschedule from January 16th) – Microsoft 365 includes tools such as Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, and more. You will use your UM credentials to log into Microsoft 365.
LinkedIn Learning
Find out where to find the UM access link and how to log in from your personal LinkedIn account, how to search/browse the many, many offerings, “pathways to learning” versus individual courses and the benefits of each for employee professional development documentation, and some companion AI notetaking tools for reference and retention of the material. The sessions is scheduled from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Excel Tables, Charts, and Pivot tables (Two sessions)
In this session, we will dive into tables, charts, and pivot tables along with other tips/tricks commonly used in Excel. A basic understanding of Excel is necessary to fully enjoy this session. This session will be held in a computer lab, you are welcome to bring your own laptop. You may join the 1pm – 2pm or the 4pm – 5pm session.
Excel Overview (Beginner)
In this beginner session, you will learn how to work with worksheets, cells, columns, and rows. You will be introduced to conditional formatting, charts, and pivot tables along with other tips/tricks commonly used in Excel.
Microsoft 365 Application Deep Dive
In this session, you will explore the Apps within Microsoft 356 and how they can enhance and ease your productivity. In addition to basic knowledge of MS Office, you may discover tools that will help you manage your calendar (Calendar), your task list (To Do & Lists), file sharing (SharePoint), scheduling (Bookings), and powerful creative tools idea sharing and collaboration (Whiteboard & Loop).
