Welcome to the website for the Theatre Department at the University of Montevallo. We hope the information posted here gives you a sense of the wide range of extraordinary experiences and opportunities that await you as a student in our program.  We offer the generalist BA degree and BFA tracks in Acting, Directing, Musical Theatre and Design. Our curriculum is extensive and numerous opportunities exist in our 3 spaces to act, direct, design and stage manage for qualified students.  Our seasons are known for including Alabama premieres and our students work extensively with professional guest artists on and off campus. At UM, we prepare you for a professional career around the U.S. while also providing a first-rate liberal arts education. Come visit a class or attend a show—we hope to see you on campus soon!
