Certification

Undergraduate Approach

The University of Montevallo's undergraduate program in the COE leads to a level B certificate.  To acquire this certificate, individuals must be admitted to the TEP, complete an internship with a grade of "C" or better, earn the requisite gpa and make application to the SDE through the office of TES.  For successful progression in the TEP, students must consult with their assigned advisor to prepare their program of study.

All undergraduates who earn certification at the University of Montevallo meet the Alabama definition for Highly Qualified for their teaching field.
