Clubs and Organizations
Students
at Montevallo have many opportunities for group
participation and leadership experiences. All
registered organizations are coordinated through
the Student Life office on the second
floor of the Student
Union Building. There
are clubs and organizations of all kinds. Here you can read a broad description of each then click the title to see the clubs that classify there.

Academic
- Promote development in a particular area of study.
Activities may include outings, business meetings, and social activities.
- Honorary
- Recognize high levels of academic
achievement and generally require a demonstrated interest in a particular career or academic discipline.
- Publications
- Montevallo's newspaper, magazine, and yearbook are all published by students under the direction of student editors. All three publications are distributed free to students and students are encouraged to apply for staff
positions as writers, photographers, artists, editors, or salespeople.
- Religious
- Serve as a support for students of a
particular religious persuasion or denomination
- Social
- Foster social networks among members. They create smaller communities within the larger University
environment. The purpose of these groups is to facilitate growth in the areas of scholarship, personal and leadership development, campus involvement, and community service.
- Special
Interest
- Focuses on a specific issue or topic
- Student
Governance
- Address student needs and express student views
