The Student Activity Center is a 90,000 square foot state-of-the-art recreation and athletic center.  It includes facilities for weight/cardio training, racquetball, wallyball, walking and swimming.  The cardio area has a five- television cardio theatre accessed through personal FM receivers.  In addition, the SAC Peoples Bank and Trust Company Arena serves as the home court for the University’s volleyball and basketball teams.

The mission of the Student Activity Center is to support the student’s higher-educational experience by providing comprehensive wellness components through recreational facilities and activities, including cardio-vascular, weight conditioning and aquatic activities.

The SAC will operate when the University class schedule is in effect and will not open when the University is officially closed.
 

GENERAL RULES & REGULATIONS

• Bring your photo ID every time you go to the SAC.  You will need to swipe your card at the front desk and to get into the weight room and cardio-theater.

• No cell phones or cameras are allowed in the SAC.

• Blue jeans, excessively brief, revealing or makeshift swimsuits are not permitted.

• You must wear non-marking, athletic shoes when using the weight room and/or the cardio theater.

• You must bring a towel to wipe down the equipment after use.  You may elect to purchase one for $2 at the SAC.
