Donald L. Ratchford

Donald L. Ratchford is an assistant professor in the Elementary Education program in the College of Education at the University of Montevallo.

He holds an A.A. from Northeastern Christian Junior College, a B.S.E. from Oklahoma Christian College, a M. Ed. from Central State University and a Ph.D. from the University of Oklahoma.

Ratchford’s areas of research include educational technology and reading, personality types and management styles, and issues and attitudes in special education.  His research appears in the Review of Higher Education and Self-Learning.

At the University of Montevallo, Ratchford teaches in the undergraduate and graduate programs (reading, multicultural education, educational psychology and special education). Previously, Ratchford was an administrator with the Department of Defense Education Activity and an adjunct professor with Nova University – Panama.
